I became a counselor through my own life experience and rigorous education. I struggled with depression and anxiety in a way that became crippling. As a highly sensitive person who is also a high achiever, it was difficult to reach out and ask for help. I am so glad that I did because life opened and continues to open in miraculous ways. As Joseph Campbell once said,
“When you follow your bliss...doors will open where you would not have thought there would be doors."
Counseling was so meaningful to me, that I became a healer providing psychotherapy to others. That's important because with me, you won't be treated pathologically. You are not broken. Your pain is an indication that something is off. I've stared into the depths of my soul, again and again. I can help you reconnect to your source of strength and wisdom. Together, we'll explore holistically what brought you here. As Carl Jung once said, "There is no birth of consciousness without pain," though from a birth education lens, I argue that the word pain could be replaced with the phrase unusual and tremulous tension.
